New joint activities of Development Center for Youth and DEKI5 camp

  • July 8, 2026

Development Center for Youth and the international camp DEKI5 of the celebrated Dejan Stanković continue their cooperation on the promotion of genuine social values, and the team of lecturers from our association will visit the second and third shift of the camp to introduce the concept of life champions to the participants through interactive workshops and dynamic conversation. During the second shift, almost one hundred children already enjoyed learning about the concepts of fair play, solidarity, human rights in sports, recognizing and reacting to negative phenomena in sports, through activities coordinated by Sanja and Vladimir Romčević.

In addition to working with children, Development Center for Youth team will also meet with coaches at the camp in order to introduce a new tool for acquiring additional knowledge and skills on the topic of safety in sports – an online UEFA safeguarding course for sports workers so that they know how to adequately and timely react to different situations in the sports environment. This will further increase the number of certified coaches who work with children as part of the activities at the DEKI5 camp, showing a permanent commitment to the promotion and advocacy of true values that have been the essence of the previous years of joint work, when the camp was further developed with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children.

During the third shift, the activities at Zlatibor will also include a constructive meeting of our program director Aleksandra Knežević with the camp coordinator Đorđe Pajić on further joint activities during 2026, which will include, among other things, the preparation of a joint application for the new open call of the UEFA Foundation for Children, all with the aim of providing additional support for further work with sensitive categories of children and youth in sports.

Bearing in mind that the values and principles of the UEFA Foundation for Children are essential for the daily work of both coaches and children in sports, the partners will continue to promote them in all joint activities, from camps for children and youth to training for coaches planned for autumn 2026 with the support of national donors.
