A new generation of life champions in Palić

From September 23 to 26, a mixed educational-sports camp will be held in Palić within the „Creating Life Champions“ concept. The seventh camp in a row is intended for girls and boys aged 12 to 16 from different parts of Serbia, as well as from different sports disciplines, and will gather almost 70 young sportsmen/women and their coaches from Arilje, Smederevo, Valjevo and Belgrade.

During the four days of the camp, participants will have the opportunity to improve their skills and develop personal qualities through sports, informal education, games and fellowship, using sports as a platform for learning, bonding and personal development. The program enables every child to express himself/herself through team sports that encourage cooperation and team spirit, as well as through individual disciplines that strengthen focus, coordination and personal responsibility.

The concept “Creating Life Champions” has been showing for years that sport is not just a game and competition, but a powerful tool for learning, personal and social development. Through joint activities, educational games and workshops, young participants acquire skills that go beyond the field. They learn how to cooperate, how to support others and how to face challenges with perseverance and confidence. Every child has the potential to be a champion not only in sports, but also in life, and our camp offers the opportunity to develop that potential through various sports and educational activities. Differences among participants become strengths, and fair play, discipline and team spirit become foundations for growth, learning and the creation of new friendships that are remembered forever.

“We are very proud to point out that this year, for the seventh time in a row, our camp has successfully demonstrated the true value of sport and team spirit. We thank all the camp participants who came to Palić with enthusiasm, energy and an open heart, ready for new knowledge, but also new friendships. Their commitment and engagement make us proud and confirm that together we are creating real life champions. However, we are especially proud of the fact that again all activities for children are completely free, which opens the possibility for a significantly larger number of children from all parts of the country to be part of these educational and sports activities” – stated the program director and creator of the concept, Aleksandra Knežević, opening the camp.

Katarina Jonev Ćiraković, an expert in the field of digital rights and the protection of young people on the Internet, will lead the team of lecturers who will present the participants with various topics that are crucial in the development of the personality of young people, with which the organizers show that in addition to nurturing traditional values, the program itself also meets new topics and technologies, current in the lives of young people. Through carefully designed workshops, young people will learn about important issues of protection and well-being in sports, and learn how to safely and responsibly use social networks and how to navigate the digital world that surrounds them, both in a sports context and outside of it. A special focus will be placed on the management of emotions, recognizing it as the first prerequisite for the development of self-confidence, responsibility and true leadership, qualities that form the foundations of a real life champion. The lecturers will combine theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, enabling participants to apply what they have learned in real situations and acquire skills that will benefit them outside the sports field.

Camp trainers, led by the expert Vladimir Romčević, will lead fitness and sports activities carefully adapted to the age and abilities of the participants, making sure that every girl and boy gets the opportunity to develop at their own pace. Through a combination of team and individual exercises, coaches will encourage team spirit, mutual cooperation and fair play, while working to strengthen the strength, coordination and endurance of young athletes.

The concept “Creating Life Champions” has so far been supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ program in the field of sports and the UEFA Foundation for Children, as well as various local self-governments. Numerous partners, together with socially responsible companies like AMS Osiguranje D.O.O. has enabled the implementation of this year’s camp, recognizing its importance for the wider community, while its long-term media partner is TV Arena Sport.
