Info Day in Arilje – an оpportunity to create a new generation of Life Champions
At the invitation of the president of Football Club Budućnost Arilje, Nenad Ćirković, an info day was held in Arilje on October 17 with children, parents, coaches and board members from the Football Club Budućnost Arilje, during which the international concept “Creating Life Champions” was presented. Representatives of FC Budućnost expressed a strong desire for the club to be involved in further activities, recognizing their importance for development of young athletes, not only as football players, but also as responsible, empathetic and active members of the community.
Goal of the event was to introduce all participants to the idea and values of the program that promotes sport as a means of developing life skills, personal values and positive social change.

Through an open discussion with the present ones, plans for the coming period were shared, including the possibility for children and coaches from Arilje to actively participate in all national and regional activities as part of the concept “Creating Life Champions”.
“Our goal is to teach children through sports how to become better people, to develop empathy, self-confidence, team spirit and respect. We also aim to teach children about important phenomena around them through sports, which is why we focus on the coach as an educator and pedagogue. FC Budućnost Arilje is an example of a club that understands that sport has a much greater role than results on the field. Together with coaches and parents, we create an environment in which every child has the opportunity to become a life champion”, said the program director and creator of the concept, Aleksandra Knežević.
The project “Life Champions 3.0: Every Child Has a Right to Be a Champion” is being implemented with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children with the aim of creating a more inclusive and humane society through sport.
