At the invitation of the president of Football Club Budu\u0107nost Arilje, Nenad \u0106irkovi\u0107, an info day was held in Arilje on October 17 with children, parents, coaches and board members from the Football Club Budu\u0107nost Arilje, during which the international concept \u201cCreating Life Champions\u201d was presented. Representatives of FC Budu\u0107nost expressed a strong desire for the club to be involved in further activities, recognizing their importance for development of young athletes, not only as football players, but also as responsible, empathetic and active members of the community.<\/p>\n

Goal of the event was to introduce all participants to the idea and values \u200b\u200bof the program that promotes sport as a means of developing life skills, personal values \u200b\u200band positive social change.<\/p>\n

Through an open discussion with the present ones, plans for the coming period were shared, including the possibility for children and coaches from Arilje to actively participate in all national and regional activities as part of the concept “Creating Life Champions”.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to teach children through sports how to become better people, to develop empathy, self-confidence, team spirit and respect. We also aim to teach children about important phenomena around them through sports, which is why we focus on the coach as an educator and pedagogue. FC Budu\u0107nost Arilje is an example of a club that understands that sport has a much greater role than results on the field. Together with coaches and parents, we create an environment in which every child has the opportunity to become a life champion\u201d, said the program director and creator of the concept, Aleksandra Kne\u017eevi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The project \u201cLife Champions 3.0: Every Child Has a Right to Be a Champion\u201d is being implemented with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children with the aim of creating a more inclusive and humane society through sport.<\/p>\n\n
